Scheduled IT Services Outage May 20-22, 2022
From Friday, May 20 at 6 p.m. through Sunday, May 22 at 2 p.m., DIT will be upgrading UMD core database servers causing many services to be unavailable.
Summer 2022 Service Modifications

Division of IT offices will be closed Monday, June 20, 2022 in observance of Juneteenth.
Recent UMD Cybersecurity Attacks
Over the past week, UMD has seen a rapid increase in the number of spear phishing attacks directed at UMD employees. In a spear phishing attack, a forged email is commonly sent to members of the UMD community, and the goal is to get people to click on an email attachment. The forged email shows the name of a trusted member of the UMD community such as your department chair or business officer.

Webex Video Conferencing Service to End in June 2022
UMD's centrally provided Webex Web Conferencing service will be discontinued June 15, 2022.

Changes to UMD Password Policies
Beginning on April 11, 2022, the University of Maryland’s Directory password requirements will change.
