DIT offices will be closed March 20-22 for Spring Break.

At 7 a.m. on Thursday, March 2, 2023, Division of IT staff will make a change to the University of Maryland’s GlobalProtect VPN service so that UMD community members will use their device’s default web browser to log in instead of GlobalProtect’s embedded browser.

Morphic, which provides easier access to many computer accessibility features, is now available at UMD via TERPware.

Google Workspace is a feature rich platform that UMD community members use in many different ways. It is also a fast-changing and complex system.

Colleges and universities (including UMD) are beginning to look to larger and more complex data sets, advanced tools (like machine learning and artificial intelligence), and statistical modeling to improve the student experience, engagement, and success.

All faculty and staff, including research assistants and graduate assistants, are required to complete “Defend Your Shell 2023” training before March 6, 2023.

Some changes to Panopto are scheduled for January 10 to optimize institutional storage space and implement an archiving process for unviewed videos.
