The new Ally teaching and learning accessibility tool is now available in all ELMS-Canvas courses.
The tool allows for automatic accessibility checks of the course content, including files uploaded by instructors, and provides step-by-step guidance for improving course accessibility. It also allows students to download alternative formats of course documents (such as mp3, electronic braille, HTML, ePub, and other formats). When instructors are ready to start improving the accessibility of their courses, they can visit the Ally webpage for resources and training or contact itaccessibility@umd.edu.
