  • Changes to Repair Services for Institutional Devices

    Terrapin Tech no longer provides repair services for institutionally owned Dell and Apple devices as of July 1, 2024.

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) Note-Taking Services in Zoom

    UMD Zoom now allows faculty, staff, and students to turn on Zoom’s AI-based automatic note-taking service, Zoom AI Companion. It is important to remember that any recordings, transcriptions, or notes taken during a Zoom session create data that may be subject to regulatory, contractual, or other legal requirements.

  • Google Workspace Storage Limits for UMD Google and TERPmail Beginning March 27, 2024

    UMD Google Workspace (UMD Google and TERPmail) accounts will have new storage limits beginning March 27.

  • New eduroam Security Certificate

    This summer, DIT updated the security certificate for the eduroam wireless network. This means that you may need to install the new certificate on your devices before they connect to eduroam the next time.

  • Eduroam Update on August 17

    On Thursday, August 17 between 4 and 7 a.m., DIT will update the security certificate for the eduroam wireless network. For the smoothest transition, before August 17, please go to setup.wireless.umd.edu.

  • Ally Teaching and Learning Accessibility Tool

    The new Ally teaching and learning accessibility tool is now available in all ELMS-Canvas courses, enabling students to download alternative formats of course documents and instructors to improve course accessibility.
