UMD Zoom Web Interface Redesign

On September 30, the university’s Zoom web conferencing platform will get an overall new look and feel. This redesign affects the web interface you use to sign in, start meetings, and manage settings (not the desktop or mobile app).

  • The home page will mirror the desktop app, with Start, Join, and Schedule buttons up front and a universal header across every page.
  • There will be no left navigation panel. A product waffle menu in the top-right corner will replace the panel and handle movement between Zoom products.
  • Each product opens in a new tab, so you can configure a product's settings on a dedicated page. You will be able to drag and drop the items in the waffle menu to reorder them the way you work.
  • Your personal settings will be available in the My account section of the profile menu at the top right. It holds everything for personal use: Profile, Reports (formerly Analytics and Reports), Personal Contacts, Personal Devices, Settings, Recordings and Transcripts, and Summaries.

If you have any issues with UMD Zoom, please reach out to the IT Service Desk.
