Submit Proposals for the Student IT Grant Program

The Student IT Advisory Committee (ITAC) is excited to extend an invitation to all members of the UMD community, with a special emphasis on students, to participate in the Student IT Grant Program.

The Student IT Grant Program seeks innovative proposals that align with the University of Maryland's strategic initiatives and the Division of Information Technology's goals. To be considered, projects must include a student leader, and we encourage submissions from diverse constituents of our university community.

ITAC, composed of student representatives from various UMD colleges and schools, meticulously reviews all proposals for merit and provides recommendations to the Vice President and Chief Information Officer for funding projects that promise significant campus-wide IT service enhancements. This year, up to four projects will be awarded, with a maximum grant of $15,000 each.

Proposals will be evaluated based on their overall impact, significance, innovation, approach, sustainability, and alignment with student interests. Before submitting your proposal,  please carefully review the detailed guidelines available on the ITAC webpages.

Thank you for your commitment to improving campus-wide technology services. Should you have any questions or require assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to ITAC at itac@umd.edu

Thank you in advance for your valuable contributions to enhancing the technological landscape at the University of Maryland.
