Overleaf Collaborative Writing and Publishing Tool Now Available

Overleaf professional features are now available to all UMD faculty, staff, students, and affiliates through a new UMD Overleaf portal!

Overleaf is a cloud-hosted tool accessed through a web browser for typesetting professional-looking documentation, including publications, dissertations, theses, and notes. These features are available by using the Login with SSO option. Existing Overleaf accounts may be linked to UMD accounts to use these features, too.

The UMD portal includes a template gallery for commonly used document formats and to make it easier for new Overleaf users to get started. Overleaf offers a number of webinars, tutorials, and documentation for self-paced learning.

On September 17 at 1 p.m., Overleaf staff will provide a live webinar for the UMD community. They will cover features and functionality, and attendees will be able to ask questions live. Register for the Intro to Overleaf webinar.

This service has been made possible thanks to partnership among DIT, the College of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences, and the A. James Clark School of Engineering.
