Google Cloud Platform (GCP) at UMD: Storage Services

noon

Location: UMD Zoom

Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a suite of cloud computing services that runs on Google's infrastructure. It offers four main kinds of services: compute, storage, big data, and machine learning. GCP is offered to UMD via the Internet2 Net+ agreement, which includes favorable terms and conditions, as well as discounts on pricing and data egress waivers. The NIH STRIDES add-on allows researchers funded by NIH to take advantage of additional discounts and support opportunities.

During this one-hour webinar, learn about GCP’s storage services and how they could be helpful in your research or academic work.

  • Get an overview of the many Google storage services available
  • See a demonstration of some of the storage offerings
