The Division of Information Technology wishes you a restful Winter Break and productive new year.
DIT offices will be closed Friday, December 22 through Monday, January 1. We will reopen on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. In addition, some services will have modified hours leading up to the break (including some for finals week).
IT Service Desk (301.405.1500) and Campus Information Services (301.405.1000)
The Service Desk call center will operate with reduced winter hours Tuesday, December 12 through Tuesday, January 23. The reduced hours will be 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday and noon-4 p.m Saturday and Sunday.
On Sunday, December 24 and Monday, December 25, Sunday, December 31 and Monday, January 1, and Monday, January 15, the Service Desk and Campus Information will be closed.
Additionally, Friday, December 22 and Tuesday, December 26 through Friday, December 29, the Service Desk and Campus Information will be open noon-4 p.m.
Normal business hours (8 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday, noon-4 p.m. Saturday-Sunday) will resume on Wednesday, January 24.
Classroom Support
Classroom Support will operate with reduced hours leading up to Winter Break:
- December 12 (Reading Day): 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
- December 13-16: 7:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m.
- December 17: closed
- December 18-19: 7:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
- December 20-22: Closed
Winter business hours resume on Tuesday, January 2 and run through Tuesday, January 23: Monday-Thursday 7:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m., Friday 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Terrapin Tech
Terrapin Tech (Edward St. John Learning & Teaching Center--walk-in computer support) will operate with reduced finals hours Wednesday, December 13 through Tuesday, December 19. The reduced hours will be 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday. In addition, Terrapin Tech will operate with reduced winter hours Wednesday, December 20 through Tuesday, January 23. Winter hours will be 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
Terrapin Tech will be closed Friday, December 22-Monday, January 1 and Monday, January 15.
Normal business hours (8:30 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Friday) will resume on Wednesday, January 24.
Production Services
CICS - service for MVS users:
- Saturday, December 23 – normal Saturday service
- Sunday, December 24 – normal Sunday service
- Saturday, December 30 – normal Saturday service
- Sunday, December 31 – normal Sunday service
- All other days – normal holiday service
