The Division of Information Technology wishes you a restful Winter Break and productive new year.
DIT offices will be closed Thursday, December 25 through Thursday, January 1. We will reopen on Friday, January 2, 2026. In addition, some services will have modified hours leading up to the break (including some for finals week).
IT Service Desk (301.405.1500) and Campus Information Services (301.405.1000)
The Service Desk call center will operate with reduced winter hours Monday, December 15 through Sunday, January 25. The reduced hours will be 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday and noon-4 p.m Saturday and Sunday.
On Wednesday, December 24, the Service Desk will be open 8 a.m. to noon.
On Thursday, December 25, Wednesday, December 31, and Thursday, January 1, and Monday, January 19, the Service Desk and Campus Information will be closed.
Additionally, Friday, December 26 through Tuesday, December 30, the Service Desk and Campus Information will be open noon-4 p.m.
Normal business hours (8 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday, noon-4 p.m. Saturday-Sunday) will resume on Monday, January 26.
Classroom Support
Classroom Support will operate with reduced hours leading up to Winter Break:
- December 13 (Reading Day): 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
- December 14: Closed
- December 15-19: 7:30 a.m. - 8 p.m.
- December 20: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
- December 21-December 24: Closed
Winter business hours resume on Monday, January 5 and run through Friday, January 23: Monday-Thursday 7:45 a.m.-7:30 p.m., Friday 7:45 a.m.-4 p.m.
Terrapin Tech
Terrapin Tech (Patuxent Building--walk-in computer support) will operate with reduced finals hours Monday, December 15 through Wednesday, December 24. The reduced hours will be 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. In addition, Terrapin Tech will operate with reduced winter hours Friday, January 2 through Friday, January 23. Winter hours will be 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
On Wednesday, December 24, Terrapin Tech will be open 8:30 a.m. to noon.
Terrapin Tech will be closed Thursday, December 25 - Thursday, January 1 and Monday, January 19.
Normal business hours (8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday) will resume on Monday, January 26.
