Interim Executive Director for Mid-Atlantic Crossroads (MAX)

As the Interim Executive Director for Mid-Atlantic Crossroads (MAX), Carrie provides operational leadership for the advanced regional optical research and education network within DIT. The MAX network is purpose-built for research-focused customers of all sizes. Customers are from the public sector, the private/commercial sector, not-for profit organizations, state and federal agencies, labs, universities, libraries, and technology and information service providers that require access to leading edge telecommunications technologies. In addition, MAX operates UMD's DNS root service, D-root, one of the 13 root DNS servers of the Internet.
