The Division of Information Technology wishes you a restful Winter Break and productive new year.
DIT offices will be closed Thursday, December 23 through Sunday, January 2. We will reopen on Monday, January 3, 2022. In addition, some services will have modified hours leading up to the break (including some for finals week).
IT Service Desk (301.405.1500) and Campus Information Services (301.405.1000)
The Service Desk call center will operate with reduced winter hours Wednesday, December 15 through Sunday, January 23. The reduced hours will be 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday and noon-4 p.m Saturday and Sunday.
On Friday, December 24, Saturday, December 25, Sunday, December 26, Friday, December 31, and Saturday, January 1 the Service Desk and Campus Information will be closed.
Additionally, on Thursday, December 23 and Monday, December 27 through Thursday, December 30 the Service Desk and Campus Information will be open noon-4 p.m.
Normal business hours (8 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday, noon-4 p.m. Saturday-Sunday) will resume on Monday, January 24.
Classroom Support
Classroom Support will operate with reduced hours leading up to Winter Break:
- December 14 (Reading Day): closed
- December 15-18: 7:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
- December 19: closed
- December 20-21: 7:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
- December 22-23: Closed
Winter business hours resume on Monday, January 3 and run through Friday, January 21: Monday-Thursday 7:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m., Friday 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Terrapin Tech
Terrapin Tech (1221 McKeldin Library--computer sales and support) will operate with reduced finals hours Wednesday, December 15 through Sunday, December 19. The reduced hours will be 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday. In addition, Terrapin Tech will operate with reduced winter hours Monday, December 20 through Friday, January 21. Winter hours will be 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
On Wednesday, December 22, Terrapin Tech will be closed for in-person services. We will respond to calls, emails, and requests for purchases.
Terrapin Tech will be closed Thursday, December 23-Sunday, January 2.
Normal business hours (8:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday, noon-10 p.m. Sunday) will resume on Monday, January 24.
Production Services
CICS - service for MVS users:
- Saturday, December 25 – normal Saturday service
- Sunday, December 26 – normal Sunday service
- Saturday, January 1 – normal Saturday service
- Sunday, January 2 – normal Sunday service
- All other days – normal holiday service
