The Division of Information Technology is offering the following web accessibility training opportunities to the University of Maryland community.
Web Accessibility Training (8 hours over 2 days)
These live, online training events will cover accessibility principles and techniques for web designers, developers, program managers, quality assurance experts, or anyone interested in gaining a deep understanding of web accessibility. Review the web accessibility training outline.
When: July 16-17, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. | August 19-20, 10 a.m. -3 p.m.

Introduction to Web Accessibility Training (2 hours)
Introductory training for web content producers, editors and managers. This 2-hour training will cover:
- Introduction to Web Accessibility
- Overview on how individuals with disabilities use the web
- How to apply the IT accessibility 6 essential steps (headings, links, color and contrast, images, tables, media) in everyday tasks
- Basics of accessibility testing (automated tools and manual checks)
- Basics of document accessibility
