Division of IT offices will be closed Saturday, March 17 through Tuesday, March 20, 2018. We will reopen on Wednesday, March 21, 2018.

There will be outages of many IT services 7 a.m. Sunday, March 18 through 7 a.m. Monday, March 19.  Additionally, there will be network testing Monday, March 19 through Tuesday, March 20 and Sunday, March 25. Please see this notice for more details.

IT Service Desk (301.405.1500) and Campus Information Services (301.405.1000)

The Service Desk call center will close at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 16 and will have the following additional schedule alterations during Spring Break:

  • March 19 - 20: closed
  • March 21 - 23: open 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Regular hours resume on Monday, March 26.


Terrapin Tech

Terrapin Tech (1221 McKeldin - computer sales and support) will close at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, March 16 and will be closed March 18 - 25.

Regular hours resume on Monday, March 26.


Classroom Support Office (301.314.8522)

The Classroom Support office in the Edward St. John Learning and Teaching Center (301.405.2500) will close at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 16 and will be closed March 19 - 23. Regular hours resume on Monday, March 26.


Software Licensing

  • March 19 - 20: closed
  • March 21 - 23: open 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Regular hours will resume on Monday, March 26.


Production Services

ARES will be affected by the scheduled March 18 - 19 IT services outage. There will be no service during the outage. Additional service modifications are listed below.

CICS - service for MVS users:

  • Sunday, March 18 - no service
  • Monday, March 19 - Tuesday, March 20 - normal holiday service
  • All other days - normal service
