The Division of Information Technology wishes you a restful Winter Break and productive new year.

DIT offices will be closed Friday, December 22 through Monday, January 1. We will reopen on Tuesday, January 2, 2018.


IT Service Desk (301.405.1500) and Campus Information Services (301.405.1000)

The Service Desk call center will operate with reduced winter hours Tuesday, December 19 through Tuesday, January 23. The reduced hours will be 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday - Friday.

Additionally, the Service Desk will close at 5 p.m. on Thursday, December 21 for the holiday break and will reopen at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, January 2.

Normal business hours (8 a.m. - 10 p.m. Monday - Thursday and 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. Friday) will resume on Wednesday, January 24.


Classroom Support

Classroom Support will operate with reduced hours leading up to Winter Break:

  • December 12 - 16: 7:30 a.m. - 8 p.m.
  • December 17: closed
  • December 18 - 19: 7:30 a.m. - 8 p.m.
  • December 20 - 22: closed

Normal business hours resume on January 2 and run through January 23: Monday - Thursday 7:30 a.m. - 9 p.m., Fridays 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.


Terrapin Tech

Terrapin Tech McKeldin (computer sales and support) will operate with reduced winter hours Tuesday, December 19 through Tuesday, January 23. The reduced hours will be 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday.

Additionally, Terrapin Tech will close at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 21 for the holiday break and will reopen at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 2.

Normal business hours (8 a.m. - 10 p.m. Monday - Thursday, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. Friday, noon - 10 p.m. Sunday) will resume on Wednesday, January 24.


Software Licensing

Software Licensing (2102 Patuxent Building) will close at 4 p.m. Thursday, December 21. It will resume normal hours of 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Monday - Friday on Tuesday, January 2.


Production Services

CICS - service for MVS users:

  • Saturday, December 23 and December 30 – normal Saturday service
  • Sunday, December 24 and January 31 – normal Sunday service
  • All other days – normal holiday service

ARES - service for Web Administrative Applications:

  • Normal service

TESTUDO - service for Web Student Applications:

  • Normal service
