Division of IT offices will be closed Saturday, March 18 through Wednesday, March 18, 2017. We will reopen on Thursday, March 23, 2017.

There will be outages of many IT services beginning Sunday, March 19 and Sunday, March 26. Please see this notice for more details.

IT Service Desk (301.405.1500) and Campus Information Services (301.405.1000)

The Service Desk call center will close at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 17 and will have the following additional schedule alterations during Spring Break:

  • March 20 - 22: closed
  • March 23 - 24: open 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Regular hours resume on Monday, March 27.


Terrapin Tech

Terrapin Tech (1221 McKeldin - computer sales and support) will close at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, March 17 and will be closed March 18 - 26.

Regular hours resume on Monday, March 27.


Classroom Support Office (301.314.8522)

The Classroom Support office in Hornbake Library (301.314.8522) will close at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 17 and will be closed March 20 - 24. Regular hours resume on Monday, March 27.


Software Licensing

Software Licensing will be closed March 20 - 24. Regular hours (Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.) will resume on Monday, March 27.


Production Services

ARES will be affected by the scheduled March 19 - 20 and March 26 - 27 IT services outages. There will be no service during the outages. Additional service modifications are listed below.

CICS - service for MVS users:

  • Sunday, March 19 - no service
  • All other days - Normal holiday service
