The University of Maryland’s Adobe Connect Web conferencing service will be discontinued during the Summer 2017 semester. Effective June 18, 2017, customers will not be able to create new sessions. From June 19 to August 30, customers will be able to access the system only to export data (assets and/or session recordings) you consider important to keep. We recommend that customers download session recordings after June 19, so they can be automatically converted from the native Adobe Connect .flv format to .MP4. We recommend the use of Google Drive to store these files.
We apologize for the short notice of this change. After June 19, instructions on how to export Adobe Connect files (MP4 format) will be shared with all current users and will be available in the IT Library in the communications and collaboration category.
WebEx has been deployed as the university’s new Web conferencing solution integrated with ELMS. Information about how to use WebEx is available in our IT Service Catalog.
